New Wave's U.Go Anywhere Pochade Box is designed for travel from sea to summit and anywhere in between with all types of paint media. Made from Baltic Birchwood, each hand-crafted box reveals the tree's inherent beauty in the grain, knots, and natural wood tone. The durable clear finish is non-porous, dense, and resistant to water as well as standard artist solvents and mediums. In addition, the finish is crack proof, chip proof, and non-yellowing.

Non-corrosive stainless steel and aluminum fixtures provide reliable strength where it's needed most. Strong rare earth magnets are used for the closure, canvas holder, removable side wall for easy palette cleaning and replacement, and accessory side tray attachment (sold separately). The 180° range of motion via friction hinges allows you to paint vertically, horizontally, or anything in between. Horizontal set up is perfect for watercolor painting! Teeth on the stainless steel panel holders are capable of holding panels as thin as 1/16" and stretched canvas up to 3/4" thick. Paint dabs can be stored on the palette when the lid is closed due to the recessed palette and lid.

Available in 3 sizes, each pochade box pairs with multiple accessories that allow you to customize this minimalist plein air painting box. The boxes fit a universal 1/4" tripod mount, and fold down to a book-like 1-1/4" depth. Glass Palette, Grey - This tempered glass palette measures 9" x 13-1/2" and is designed to fit in the Large size Anywhere Plein Air Pochade Box. Oils and acrylics glide across the surface, and clean off easily with a window scraper. The grey color enhances value and color gauging. Edges are smoothed for safety.
