New Wave's U.Go Anywhere Pochade Box is designed for travel from sea to summit and anywhere in between with all types of paint media. Made from Baltic Birchwood, each hand-crafted box reveals the tree's inherent beauty in the grain, knots, and natural wood tone. The durable clear finish is non-porous, dense, and resistant to water as well as standard artist solvents and mediums. In addition, the finish is crack proof, chip proof, and non-yellowing.
Non-corrosive stainless steel and aluminum fixtures provide reliable strength where it's needed most. Strong rare earth magnets are used for the closure, canvas holder, removable side wall for easy palette cleaning and replacement, and accessory side tray attachment (sold separately). The 180° range of motion via friction hinges allows you to paint vertically, horizontally, or anything in between. Horizontal set up is perfect for watercolor painting! Teeth on the stainless steel panel holders are capable of holding panels as thin as 1/16" and stretched canvas up to 3/4" thick. Paint dabs can be stored on the palette when the lid is closed due to the recessed palette and lid.

Cinch and Carabiners Set - Set includes 1 Cinch and 2 Carabiners. The Cinch is a strong and flexible silicone band that holds the accessory side trays to the lid of your pochade box for compact storage during transportation, and secures brushes, tools, and medium cups to a side tray. We also recommend wrapping the Cinch around your pochade during transport when using a glass palette. Combined with the Carabiners, the set becomes a unique hook system for your turpentine canister, paint towel, trash bag and more.
