Daniel Smith PrimaTek Watercolors are unique paints made with authentic mineral pigments mined from the earth. They're finely processed and made into beautiful watercolors with amazing and diverse effects. Nearly all PrimaTeks have granulating properties which give them wonderful texture and depth. The PrimaTeks are gorgeous paints on their own, and they mix beautifully with other colors as well.
Bronzite Genuine - This warm honey-bronze color with lustrous sparkle is provided by very fine films of iron oxide. The fibrous, fairly fragile Bronzite stone from Brazil is occasionally used in jewelry but excels as a watercolor pigment. It's a warm golden-brown in mass-tone that lets down into pale washes of soft, warm sandy beige. In a wash on cold press or rough paper, the brown settles out of this intriguing color to create special effects.
This is a granulating color, meaning a grainy visual texture is created when the pigment particles settle and clump together rather than settling evenly on the painted surface. Granulation is more pronounced on textured papers.
