Quinacridone Gold
Quinacridone Gold is a dark warm yellow color that was originally formulated for the car industry. It is a transparent color and mixes well with other pigments. It can be used as a warmer, transparent option for Yellow Ochre or Raw Sienna. Mixed with Quinacridone Red, it creates burnt orange hues. With Winsor Blue Red Shade or Green Shade, it makes either mossy or deep emerald green hues.
Quinacridone Magenta
Quinacridone Magenta is a rich deep violet-red color. It is based on the Quinacridone pigment. The name Magenta comes from a lake color named in 1859 after the battle in Magenta, Italy. It creates a deep secondary purple color when mixed with Winsor Blue Red Shade. With Chinese White, it makes a vibrant pink that’s a great choice for botanical painting.
Quinacridone Red
Quinacridone Red was first introduced by Winsor & Newton in the 1950s. It is a vivid red mid-tone color that is warm and transparent. Mixing it with Cadmium Free Yellow Pale creates a bright secondary orange.
Quinacridone Violet
Made of a vivid violet pigment with pink tinges, this punchy color lends your palette the means to capture the transition from day to night, capturing varying shades of skylight during fleeting sunsets. Its composition offers a clean, daring take on traditional purple and is based on the transparent Quinacridone pigment introduced in the 1950s.
