Shizen Professional Watercolor Paper is handmade in India from 100% cotton using recycled materials in a pollution-free process. This acid-free white watercolor paper is internally and externally sized for maximum durability.
Each 140 lb. sheet has a heavy deckled edge on all four sides, and the rough surface retains the unique characteristics that are so appealing in handmade paper. No two sheets are alike!
Rough Press - Rough finish paper has an effect close to that of handmade paper, with a strongly pronounced tooth that naturally shows lots of texture in painting and highlights the effects of granulating colors. It's ideally suited for bold, expressive techniques rather than detail. Rough Press is also recommended for acrylics, pastel, and charcoal.
