R&F Pigment Stick Blending Mediums

R&F Pigment Sticks are essentially oil paint in a convenient drawing stick form, allowing artists the freedom to draw directly onto a surface without the interference of brushes, paint tubes, or solvents. Pigment Sticks can be thinned and manipulated with solvents, brushes, and palette knives, and can be layered with traditional oil paints and mediums. Blending Sticks and Blending Medium can be used to increase transparency and blend colors together on the painting. Use Pigment Sticks on any support designed for oil or encaustic painting.

Blending Medium - Blending Medium is the same medium that is in the Pigment Stick without the pigment. It’s specially designed for blending edges, heightening transparency, and building body in your paint. To use, scoop it out of the jar and mix it in with Pigment Sticks or oil paints. Blending Medium is solvent free, unlike cold wax medium, and will cure to a hard, durable surface just like oil paints.

Blending Medium with Drier- Blending Medium is the same medium that is in the Pigment Stick without the pigment, with a drier added to speed up drying time. It’s specially designed for blending edges, heightening transparency, and building body in your paint. To use, scoop it out of the jar and mix it in with Pigment Sticks or oil paints. Blending Medium is solvent free, unlike cold wax medium, and will cure to a hard, durable surface just like oil paints.

Blending Sticks - Blending Sticks are simply Pigment Sticks without pigment. They can be worked directly into a color to increase the color's transparency, or to blend colors together on the surface. This stick does not contain a drier, but sticks are also available with a cobalt drier to speed up drying time.
