An Artist Palette Productions art instruction DVD. North Carolina artist Susan Crouch's Painting In Living Color-Carolina Morning DVD is jam-packed with tips and techniques that have been learned during her 20 year painting journey. In Crouch's own words, "Every painting is a learning experience for me. I like to hang onto the things I have learned in order to use that information again in future projects."

Inspired by God's creation, the 3-part painting demo is very user-friendly and informative. Susan breaks down the process of watercolor painting, using her layering" process, into easily understandable parts that when put together leads the participant/artist into a fully finished painting.

"I work primarily in transparent watercolor because its character allows for a wonderful blending of spontaneity and control", Crouch continues. "As a result, my paintings are a fusion of realistic and interpretive elements. Most projects begin with preliminary sketches to determine composition, value pattern and colors. Once these initial decisions are in place, I follow where the watercolor leads me."

If you are looking to jump-start your painting, this is certainly the DVD for you.

Susan Crouch is a signature member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina and has been published in Splash 12: Celebrating Artistic Vision and Splash 14: Light and Color (Northlight Books). She has studied with nationally known artists such as Cheng-Khee Chee, Frederick Graff, and Joseph Fettingis. In addition to displaying at art festivals throughout the Southeast and teaching workshops, she enjoys doing freelance work for the DaySpring division of Hallmark. The beauty of God’s Word and His glorious creation continue to be the inspiration for her watercolor paintings.

100 minute art instruction video.
