Old Holland mediums, oils, varnishes, and solvents are produced by a team of dedicated professionals who incorporate decades of experience, technical know-how, and input from artists around the world in their creation.

Designed to complement Old Holland's line of Classic Oil Colors, this selection may be used to finish and protect your paintings, or to bring back lost elements of older pieces.

Bleached Linseed Oil - Made from cold pressed linseed oil that is then bleached. It enhances flow and increases the gloss lengthening the over drying time of the oil paint. Less susceptible to yellowing than conventional linseed oil, Old Holland Bleached Linseed Oil may be diluted with turpentine and white spirit.

Cold Pressed Windmill Linseed Oil - This cold pressed oil is made from linseeds that have been pressed in a windmill. It enhances the gloss and flow of oil paint, lengthens drying time, and allows brushstrokes to be removed. It can be diluted using turpentine and white spirit.

Dammar Picture Varnish - Protect your painting with Old Holland Dammar Varnish. Made from clear dammar resin dissolved in turpentine. Produces a high, even gloss but will yellow somewhat over time.

Oil Painting Medium - Made from a mixture of linseed oil, turpentine oil and white spirits. Contains no resin or dryers (siccatives). Old Holland Oil Painting Medium thins the oil paint and enhances flow while reducing gloss allowing brushstrokes to remain visible. Has little effect on drying time.

Quick Drying Painting Medium - This medium is made from a mixture of linseed oil, turpentine oil and white spirits. Use to thin oil paint for quicker drying time, reducing gloss and enhancing flow, allowing brush strokes to remain visible. Quick Drying Painting Medium contains no resin or dryers.

Stand Oil - Made from boiled polymerized linseed oil. Enhances the flow and gloss of oil paint allowing for brushstrokes to be removed. This oil painting medium is elastic but actually lengthens drying time. Stand Oil may be thinned with turpentine or white spirits and is suitable for glazing techniques. Stand Oil is less susceptible to yellowing than traditional linseed oil.

Note - Follow safety instructions carefully. Not suitable for use by children. Shipping restrictions may apply.
