MCS Wood Art Frames offer a modern and practical solution for framing all your best artwork. These ready-made frames have a clean, square-edge profile that measures 1-3/8" deep with a bold 13/16" face. The 1-3/8" depth rabbet features two grooves for your choice of display: one at 1/4" and one at 7/8" for a shadowbox effect. Remove the glass and pH neutral backing to frame 3/4" standard depth stretched canvases and wood panels. This 12" x 16" frame includes a pH neutral beveled-edge white mat with an 8" x 12" opening.

Each frame is made from solid pine and includes a glass or styrene pane*, stiff backing, and a sawtooth hanger with 2 screws (requires installation). (*Sizes 18" x 24" and above come with clear styrene instead of glass for greater security against breakage. Remove the protective film on both sides of the panel before displaying your art.) Available in painted Black, Natural wood grain, and Walnut stain finishes.

Rabbet Depth - The rabbet is the recess on the back inside edge of the frame, into which the artwork fits. To find a frame that works for you, measure the depth of your artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a rabbet depth that is, at least the same as that measured depth.

Note - Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork about a quarter inch all the way around, so your artwork will fit securely behind the frame's molding.
