Masterson Sta-Wet Painter's Pal Palette and Accessories

The Masterson Sta-Wet Painter's Pal Palette is a great multi-purpose palette for all your acrylic and water-based paint needs. Perfectly sized for the classroom, travel, and your home studio.

No more wasted paint! The Sta-Wet palette system was developed by Masterson over 25 years ago and is unmatched in its level of functionality. Masterson’s Sta-Wet system keeps acrylics and other water-based paints moist on the open palette for hours.  Once the lid is closed, the paints will stay in workable condition for days, even weeks. A wet sponge and special permeable palette paper provide the paint with a constant source of moisture. Your paints will not dry out.

The airtight container can be used to store oil paints as well. When used to store oil paints, a palette conducive to oils is recommended. New Wave Artist Palettes, produced by New Wave Art, are compatible and sold separately.

Each palette contains five sheets of Sta-Wet Acrylic Palette Paper, one Sta-Wet Sponge, a Palette Tray, and lid, and complete instructions for preparation and use. Additional paper and sponge refills are available. Each palette measures 12″ x 13″ x 1-1/2″.

Acrylic Paper -Masterson Sta-Wet Acrylic Paper keeps acrylics and other water-soluble paints moist and workable for days and even weeks by evenly distributing moisture from the Sta-Wet Sponge to your paints. The paper is permeable, cleanable, and reusable. Use the Sta-Wet Acrylic Palette Paper in combination with a Masterson Sta-Wet Sponge (not included) to provide proper moisture to the paper. Please note that traditional palette paper does not provide the same moisture-wicking effect but does the opposite by creating a barrier that locks out moisture. Traditional palette paper cannot be used with the Sta-Wet system. 30 Sheets per pack.

Sponge Refill Pack - These sponges will keep water-soluble paints moist during and between painting sessions for days and even weeks. The cellulose sponge evenly and effectively transfers moisture to the Sta-Wet Acrylic Palette Paper, ultimately extending the life of your paints. The cellulose material provides the absorption level required for the Sta-Wet system and is environmentally friendly. Use the Sta-Wet Sponge in combination with Masterson Sta-Wet Premier Palette Acrylic Paper to achieve an even distribution of moisture to your paints. Wet the sponge and place it in the tray of your Masterson Sta-Wet Premier Palette. Lay the Premier Palette Acrylic Paper on top of the sponge. The paper will absorb the moisture, maintaining the workability of the paints. Please follow all Sta-Wet Sponge preparation directions provided to extend the use of your sponge. 3 Sponges per pack.
