Linda Kemp Online Art Workshop: Mystery & Magic: Watercolour Wildflowers, October 8-10, 2025

This innovative, online hybrid program blends live instruction with exclusive video demonstrations created just for this workshop.  It is designed to push your creative boundaries, immersing you in enchanting techniques that bring your wildflowers to life with bold, fluid brushstrokes. Under Linda's expert guidance, you'll learn to paint with purpose and intention while maintaining the loose, expressive quality that makes your artwork uniquely captivating. You will begin by laying down a vibrant, energetic foundation with big brushes and splashes of fresh colour, and dive into exciting experimental textural effects that will be thoroughly explained and demonstrated. Experience the thrill of watching your colours dance across the paper, softening into elegant white shapes that enhance the drama of your composition. As the paint flows and mingles, you'll master the art of building layers wet into wet, using negative painting techniques to create depth, dimension and definition. The beauty of your work will unfold as you experiment with lost and found edges, allowing your subjects to emerge from misty, glowing backgrounds. With each brushstroke you will learn how to strike a elegant balance between sharp focus and soft diffusion, crafting wildflower scenes that are both evocative and dreamlike. This program offers an exhilarating journey into the heart of watercolour, where every brushstroke holds the promise of mystery and magic, transforming your artistic vision into something truly extraordinary.  You'll have ample time to work on your projects and seek guidance through the process, and you’ll have access to a private workshop webpage, complete with reference photos, a supply list, bonus lessons, and more! Additionally, the main demonstration videos will be available for your review and practice for an extended 8 WEEKS following the workshop. This workshop is designed for intermediate-level painters and beyond.  Our online painting class will be conducted via Zoom, offering you the opportunity to explore a distinctive and enchanting approach to painting while discovering the art of crafting your own magical wildflowers.

Linda Kemp is internationally recognized for her unique, contemporary watercolors and acrylics. Her innovative use of negative painting is the focus of her two best-selling books, Watercolor Painting Outside the Lines and Simplifying Design and Color for Artists. Linda is featured in art publications and video and internet forums, with over 1.5 million YouTube views. She is honored to be a Life Member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC), the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA) and a Life Member of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA). Her award-winning paintings are in collections around the world, including The Royal Collection in Windsor Castle, U.K.  In 2008, Linda was awarded the A.J. Casson Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Watercolour, the top award for the CSPWC National Exhibition, Open Waters. In 2005 she was Awarded Woman of the Year for Arts and Culture. Linda is an enthusiastic teacher who truly cares about the sharing of knowledge with her students.   She instructs at symposiums and workshops throughout Canada, the U.S., the U.K., France, and now online. She has served as juror for numerous national and international exhibitions.
