Level 1 (and up) - Ideal for beginners, this workshop introduces the basics of painting, including color mixing and brush techniques. Through guided exercises, you'll gain confidence and create your first artwork in a supportive environment.
Laura Lee Drumwright is an award winning artist who enjoys portraying scenes in an impressionist style. She is a member of several art societies including a Oil Painters of America, Richardson Civic Art Society, McKinney Plein Air Society, and is a Signature Artist with Southwestern Watercolor Society. She teaches a weekly watercolor class, which she thoroughly enjoys. Laura Lee has been a creative person her whole life, but it wasn’t until after retiring from the non-profit world that she found the freedom to call herself an “Artist.” She now wishes she would have invested in her art earlier on, and she loves to encourage others to embrace their creativity.
Laura Lee splits her studio time between Dallas,Texas and southern Colorado when she is not traveling or visiting family in Hawaii and Seattle. She has become an avid en plein air painter and will often pack her equipment for trips. Her mediums of choice are watercolors, oils and pastel. “It is good to switch mediums on occasion. I find it refreshing, and I cannot choose a favorite. I love them all!
