Acrylic Gouache uses an acrylic polymer instead of gum arabic, which allows the artist to easily layer color and paint on almost any surface. This polymer makes acrylic gouache more permanent and water-resistant once dry. Holbein Acrylic Gouache is compatible with all other water-soluble media regardless of origin.

Holbein Acrylic Gouache develops a tough yet visually delicate paint film when dry. Each color is rated for lightfastness, adapted to the Munsell color standard for hue, value, and chroma, and is made from the purest pigments available. It will not shift in color tone from liquid to dried color.
