Grumbacher Pre-tested Professional Oil Paint, Zinc White, is made with pure pigments milled in alkali-refined linseed oil. Zinc White is permanent, brilliant semi-transparent Snow White with an excellent tinting strength and working properties. This oil paint makes the cleanest tints of all of the oil painting Whites, however, because it dries to a relative brittle paint film by itself, we recommend that its use be restricted to making tints. Zinc White was introduced as an oil color in 1890 as a bright replacement for Flake White.Formulated from Zinc Oxide (PW4).
