Grumbacher Pre-tested Professional Oil Paint, Dioxazine Purple, is made with pure pigments milled in alkali-refined linseed oil. Dioxazine Purple is a very dark blue violet color and is considered a ready-made secondary color. This oil paint has virtually the strongest tinting strength of all colors, while maintaining a cool, deep transparency. Dioxazine Purple is often used like a black to create shadows and darken colors. Formulated from Carbazole Dioxazine (PV23).
