These painting mediums extend and modify the working properties of oil colors, offering fluid consistency for expressive mark making to a stiff paste for creating thick, crisp marks. Gamblin's mediums broaden the visual qualities of oil color while increasing the transparency of paint layers and creating a range of surface qualities from high gloss to matte.

Cold Wax Medium - Made from naturally white, pure beeswax and formulated to a knife consistency, Cold Wax Medium makes oil colors thicker and more matte. May also be applied alone as a matte varnish. Available in a 4 oz. jar.
