Fluid 100 Professional Watercolor Paper is a mould-made archival 100% cotton watercolor paper that's both affordable and long-lasting. Crafted in small batches by European mill masters who combine traditional paper making techniques with modern technology, the result is a beautiful natural white sheet that's durable with archival permanence.
Internal and external gelatin sizing allows you greater technical control and produces brilliant and intense color. Ideal for use with either wet or dry media. Truly high quality at an affordable price.
Fluid 100 Watercolor Blocks are glued on just two sides, making sheets easy to remove. The convenience of painting on a block eliminates the need for stretching, so the paper is ready to use. Simply paint directly on the block and let the paper dry before removing. Blocks are not only for ideal for painting and plein air, but also work well for drawing as it provides a sturdy support surface to work on.
Cold Press - This lightly textured paper surface is the most popular finish for watercolor paintings. It reflects light well, retaining the transparent quality of watercolors. The light tooth makes it easier to achieve certain details, while the slightly rougher texture shows off granulating colors beautifully. Not limited to watercolors, it's also recommended for gouache, acrylic, airbrush, graphite, pastels, and charcoal. A versatile paper texture.
Hot Press - Hot Press paper is the smoothest of watercolor papers, making it ideal for detailed artwork because the surface allows for the most delicate of details. For this reason, it's a favorite with illustrators and botanical artists. It also digitally scans well due to this lack of texture. Hot Press is also recommended for gouache, acrylic, colored pencil, pen and ink, and technical pens.
