These oil paints are made with the same quality and care as Daniel Smith Original Oil Colors but with a specially modified linseed oil binder. Daniel Smith Water Soluble Oil Colors may be thinned with water. Brushes and palettes clean up easily with soap and warm water.

Burnt Umber - Burnt Umber is made by heating Raw Umber which transforms it from a dark greenish brown to a dark brown with a hint of red tones. When mixed with a bit of white, Burnt Umber becomes a warm tortoise shell brown.
