Cheap Joe's Skipper Wash Brush is a heavy-duty brush that looks like it's made for painting the side of a house, but we sell tons of them to watercolor, oil, and acrylic painters. Skipper brushes are made from ox hair bristle and are extremely firm with a thick body and blunt tip. They are tough!

Watercolorists love this large size brush for laying down enormous amounts of color into their washes, working with dry brush techniques, adding and softening shadows, and scumbling and scrubbing for a pastel-like effect. It will hold lots of water and pigment. Oil and acrylic painters love it for its ability to move around lots of color and create expressive brush strokes. It's also tough enough to take scumbling and rough handling on wood panels or canvas.

Our friend, watercolorist Skip Lawrence, creates absolutely magical watercolor paintings with this paint brush. Skip says "You must use rich watercolor and a little water, be bold and you'll love it. Try adding a Skipper to your art supplies and see how it could change your painting for the better!" Skip Lawrence
