Black Ink Nepalese Lokta Paper is an eco-friendly tree-free paper, derived from the lokta bush, also called the daphne bush. Growing around 6-9,000 feet up in the Himalayan region of Nepal, this bush completely regenerates in about 4 years, after being cut down to 6" from the ground. Lokta paper-making provides a reliable revenue stream for the village artisans of Nepal's rural and urban areas.
Natural Tissue - This natural handmade paper is the lightest weight that Black Ink carries in lokta paper. With natural fiber inclusions and a subtle texture, this semi-sheer paper offers an interesting blank canvas for art applications such as block printing, printmaking and mixed media layering.
