Best Heavy Duty Cross Braces

Best Heavy Duty Cross Braces provide extra stability and prevent bending and warping for large canvases. Best cross braces are made of kiln-dried, high-quality pine to accommodate your canvas measurements. Braces have a 13/16" profile and measure 1-3/4" wide. More braces can be added by adding notches in the appropriate place along the center support. Bracing is highly suggested for canvases over 36".

To attach cross braces to your stretcher bars, use the included pair of Richeson Cross Brace Brackets. Cross brace measurements match the Best Heavy Duty Stretcher Bar measurements, although the actual brace will be smaller to allow it to sit inside the stretcher bar frame. Best cross braces are made in America by Wisconsin Craftsmen.

Richeson Cross Brace Brackets - A universal bracket designed to work with all sizes of stretcher bars. Slotted design allows for maximum adjustment of canvas tension. Cross Braces are recommended for any canvas over 36". Includes two brackets and 6 screws. The measurements for the physical bracket are 3" wide x 1-1/2" tall x 3/4" deep. The size of the brace it will accept in the slot is 1-3/4" wide x 3/4" deep.
