Arches Sketch Pads

Arches Sketch Paper Pads feature natural white paper created from 75% cotton that's ideal for colored pencil, pastel, charcoal, sanguine crayon, graphite, calligraphy, pen and ink, felt pen, and gouache, plus marbling, letterpress, blind embossing, and bookbinding. The high cotton content gives the paper good mechanical strength and durability. Each sheet of paper has a classic laid linear texture that gives body and depth to the drawing.

This 70 lb. drawing paper is acid-free with no optical brightening agents. Gelatin surface sizing limits the paper's absorption capacity, meaning ink does not bleed, and guarantees good resistance of the fibers to wear and tear. This allows for optimum rendering even after repeated corrections. Strong but lightweight, it's made for expressing one's creativity on an ultra-high performance academic medium.
