As a raw wood panel, birch panels are open to accepting any type of ground. You can even use clear gesso to see the wood grain through the sealer and primer. Once sealed, the birch wood panels are perfect for mixed media, collage, drawing, crafts, pouring, and heavy paint applications. They can even be used as shadowboxes and for mounting and framing. For encaustics and pyrography, sealing is not required.

The solid 7/8" wood cradles provide a beautiful profile and offer extra support to protect your art and prevent warping. The cradled back allows you to attach hanging hardware and display your artwork easily without a frame.
