The ready-to-paint surface is like a gessoed canvas in texture, appearance, and absorbency, giving artists the familiar feel of a fine linen or canvas with the additional advantage of painting on a rigid surface. The durable, rigid, medium density fiberboard (MDF) support makes the Primed Canvas Texture panel ideal for palette-knife painting and multimedia applications.

These wood panels will not give, bend or flex, and can support heavy paint layers. As with all of Ampersand's panels, they are made with quality materials that have been tested for durability and for performance with artists' paints.

1-1/2" Deep Cradled - These extra deep gallery cradle support frames are handmade using 1/2" birch plywood, offering maximum stability and support. The plywood sides can be stained, painted, gessoed, waxed, or left unfinished to customize and enhance your work. Fits into standard canvas-style frames.
