Each watercolor stick is dipped in a single layer of water-soluble paraffin wax for protection during transit and to protect your hands while working. To remove this thin outer layer of wax, rub the stick surface on a scrap piece of paper, or wash the stick with warm water, similar to removing paraffin wax from an apple. The tip of the watercolor sticks are ready for use out of the box.

Chromium Oxide Green - Chromium Oxide Green is a cool bright green with a yellow undertones which may be used to create thick forests in landscape paintings. This color was formerly known as Rainforest.
