Each watercolor stick is dipped in a single layer of water-soluble paraffin wax for protection during transit and to protect your hands while working. To remove this thin outer layer of wax, rub the stick surface on a scrap piece of paper, or wash the stick with warm water, similar to removing paraffin wax from an apple. The tip of the watercolor sticks are ready for use out of the box.

Apricot - Apricot is a light yellow-orange that is similar to the color of apricots and may be used to create different light flesh tones in portraits or to create a sandy beach in landscape paintings.
