Alexis will share her own personal journey with you and will help you establish goals for yourself. You’ll work together, to move your work forward, take it closer to that next level, YOUR next level.
Alexis will share and demonstrate a variety of subjects to show you how to create dynamic and unique works of art – relying on strategic design, effective painting techniques, and plenty of imagination - to give your art a boost! She will also offer advice regarding galleries, exhibitions, promotion, and other practicalities, to help you further your goals and your career. This is a great workshop for artists who want to improve their painting skills, jumpstart a career, or just get a jolt of inspiration!
Each session will include an info-packed lesson and demo, plus individual conferences with each student. This is a small class to allow plenty of one-on-one interaction with Alexis. You can paint in your own home and studio while Alexis guides and encourages you by offering feedback and helpful suggestions.
This live, interactive online painting class will be hosted through the Zoom platform. Cheap Joe's will record the workshop and upload it to their YouTube channel. Enrolled students will have unlimited, lifetime access to the video following the workshop. Students will receive more specific and log-in information by email 1 week prior to the event.

Level 3: Intermediate (and up) - Assumes the student already has a basic knowledge of the medium. Average paced with individual help for all students.
Alexis believes in the power of design so strongly that she gave up her decades-long devotion to plein air painting to devote herself to studio work, where she could take more time to design her very best paintings! Teaching is one of the most important things she does. She loves to share her passion for art by guiding others to reach their creative goals, and she teaches with enthusiasm, commitment, passion, humor, and kindness. She has taught watercolor for over two decades, from California to the Caribbean. She has seamlessly adapted her classes to the Zoom platform with the best of technology and believes that her online workshops are as good as, and in many ways better, than in person classes. She is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, Watercolor Honor Society, and Transparent Watercolor Society of America. Alexis is one of our most popular online instructors and continues to fill classes.
Cancellation Policy - By completing your purchase transaction, you agree to accept the following cancellation/refund policy: A $30 cancellation fee applies if you cancel at least 8 days in advance. Cancellation requests need to be emailed directly to edwina@cheapjoes.com. There is NO refund, for any reason, less than 8 days prior, during, or after the class. You cannot transfer to a different workshop. There are no refunds or discounts for missed sessions or no-shows. If the instructor allows the workshop to be recorded, the videos are only available to enrolled students. If you cannot attend the live sessions but want to receive the videos, please notify Edwina in advance of the workshop. No-shows, without prior notification, will not receive video access. If Cheap Joe's or the instructor cancels the class, you will receive a full refund of tuition, but not other related expenses. Please do not combine supply purchases and workshop purchases in the same order. (policy effective 11/15/2023)
