Each AllerAir Purifier is housed in a cylindrical steel container on sturdy casters for easy mobility. Exec and Vocarb models are dual purpose units for filtering out particles and solvents. HD and Ultra Vocarb models are geared more toward solvents and to clean out chemicals, gases and odors. Exec or Vocarb? - AllerAir's standard "EXEC" carbon blend has a very large internal surface area and works exceptionally well for a wide range of air pollutants. The "Vocarb" carbon blend is the most recommended and best-selling specialty carbon blend. Vocarb stands for Volatile organic compounds or VOCs and this include a variety of chemicals that can cause a range of health problems including shortness of breath, headaches, fatigue, nausea, dizziness and eye, nose, lung and throat irritation. Some VOC's are suspected to cause cancer in humans and have been shown to cause cancer in animals. The long-term health effects caused by VOC's would depend on the concentration and length of exposure.

Pro 5 Exec - An excellent all-purpose air purifier for artists using toxic solvents and other various types of pollutants which contribute to poor indoor air quality. Features 18 lbs. of activated carbon in a 4" deep filter to absorb chemicals, gases and odors and a medical-grade HEPA filter, to remove 99.97% of all airborne particles to 0.3 microns. This machine will protect you against both chemicals and airborne particles.

Pro 5 HD Exec - Provides optimal air filtration with a 23 lb. extra deep 3.5" thick carbon filter. With its enlarged carbon filter, this machine is meant for artists using very heavy concentrations of paints, turpentine or adhesives. It's extra deep-bed carbon filter provides more protection and absorption power against chemicals, gases and odors in a confined space. A super-HEPA filter and easy clean pre-filter rare rated at 99% efficiency for particles 0.1 microns.

Pro 5 Vocarb - A specially blended Vocarb activated carbon mix traps and removes specific chemicals often found in oils, adhesives, acrylics and many paints. This unit features 18 lbs. with a 4" carbon filter for chemical filtration and a medical-grade HEPA filter rated at 99% efficiency to trap airborne particles down to 0.3 microns such as pollen, dust, mold, bacteria and pet dander.The HEPA filter helps prevent dust from settling on drying paint and also helps to reduce airborne particles from pastels, woodworking, sculpting etc.

Pro 5 Ultra Vocarb - Designed for spaces where very heavy concentrations of volatile organic compounds and other chemicals and odors are the primary concern. This unit features a special VOC blend of carbon in a 28 lb. carbon filter that's 5" extra deep for superior absorption of harmful toxins. A super-HEPA filter rated at 99% efficiency particles at 0.1 microns complete this powerful unit.

Filters - It is recommended that all carbon filters be changed every 12-18 months, all HEPA and Micro-HEPA Filters be changed every 36-60 months and Pre-filters be changed every 3 months.
