Building Art Relationships That Last.

Art for everyone!

At Cheap Joe’s, our business is providing the finest art materials we can find. It’s what we do. However, as artists, our passion is creating art and more importantly, creating relationships with artists everywhere. It is who we are. Cheap Joe’s is and will always be an advocate of Art; art in schools, art in communities, art societies, and groups, art as therapy, art for children, art for everyone.

Spreading the passion, encouraging new artists, supporting art groups all over the nation and in our own communities is our commitment. Through providing art supplies, customer service, workshops, live demos, trade shows, online and off, we love to interact with artists on a daily basis.

Cheap Joe’s believes and stands behind the basic guidelines for building great relationships with our customers and friends.

1. Be Yourself:

We believe in being authentic, genuine, and truthful. Be yourself and relationships will naturally grow. That is why everyone just loves the true life story of how Cheap Joe’s began. It is certainly a true American success story!

In the beginning:

Joe Miller was a pharmacist at Boone Drug.
He wanted to learn to paint.
A friend gave him some art lessons.
He needed art supplies which were not available in the area.
Joe decided to purchase them directly from art supply vendors to save money.
He couldn’t use all of the materials he bought.
So, he began selling them to the public out of the drugstore.
Voilà, Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff was born!

2. Stay connected to the art world:

Digital networking is very important to us. The Cheap Joe’s websitethe Sketchbook Blog, our Facebook pageYouTube Channel, email, and other online communities help us to connect with people all over the world every minute of every day. Making these connections and building relationships is a full-time job. One I am glad to be a part of. Although it is a lot of work, the benefits of these long term relationships are endless. The people we meet not only become friends but part of our family. Here, we are building lasting relationships and friendships that will last a lifetime. We are here to answer your questions, help you with your purchase of art materials, make sure you have the best customer service in the business. We can even give you the weather forecast, in case you are visiting our area!

3. Supply the best art materials while providing the best customer service in the business:

We know we will never be able to supply every size, every type, every brand, of all of the art materials that are desired. So, instead, we supply what the majority of what our customers want and need. If we don’t have it, we will try to get it in the future, if possible. But no matter what, we will still provide the best customer service in the business. Why? Because we care, we listen, we understand because we are artists, too.

4. Be part of the art community:

This means locally and abroad. Attending and hosting art events, conferences, trade showsworkshops, product demos, art contests, etc. gets us out into different communities, meeting different people, and forming lasting relationships.

Recently, we had the pleasure of attending the 2014 Florida Watercolor Society Annual Convention. At the end of each summer, we make plans to visit the Sunshine state to hobnob with some of the areas best watercolor artists. Packing up all of the Cheap Joe’s charm and goodies we can muster, we make the trip to various cities around the state to reconnect with our southern artist family.

This year’s events were packed with games, prizes, and plenty of hugs from “Cheap Joe” Miller. Whoever said life was not fun and games, has never spent time in the Cheap Joe’s FWS Booth!
