Award-winning master watercolorist Lana Cease will guide you as you explore the depths of highly realistic paintings in watercolor. You will learn the skills that you need to create work that will leave people wondering how you created photographic quality work, and you'll paint your subject with confidence as a professional watercolorist. We'll start with Lana's take on Color Theory, making painting attainable to even the beginner artist. Lana will then show you the basics of painting small reflective objects. We'll also explore the possibilities of abstract realism. You will learn how to create a still life that works, lighting a still life, moving from image to paper, making decisions on what to paint and what not to paint, overcoming your fear of a large sheet of paper, how to manipulate the watercolor in several techniques to create the light and contrast you want to make an image that jumps out at you.
